Ladies what do you think about this tattoo?

I have 1 tattoo already on my right arm. A tribal band that is red and black with baby blue old english letters that say brothers in arms outlined in orange. I was thinking about getting just the orange monkey, (not the chinese writing) from this page, top row 4th from the right, on my lower abdominal region. What are your thoughts?

Okay link is not working. So it looks like a cave painting of a monkey. Very simple. No I’m not a cultist. My brother and I got the original tattoo serving in the army and its awesome.
So what do you think of a monkey tattoo in the described location?

I’m not trying to be mean but I was watching a holocaust video and it showed children showing their tattoo’s..?

I thought they were killed at arrival?
these kids were probably under the age of 10.

The first Death Camp, Chelmno, opened in December, 1941. Due in no small part to the prosecutions undertaken by Konrad Morgen (an SS judge and prosecutor), Himmler himself started closing them in the spring of 1943. Himmler also realized that the Extermination Camps were wasting a valuable and necessary source of slave labor. Auschwitz II (Birkenau) continued operations into 1944 and was the last Extermination Camp in operation. Morgen, a dedicated Nazi and SS man with a sense of honor equal to that of Himmler, probably saved more lives in the camps (of Jews and non-Jews alike) than any other hundred people combined.

The Concentration Camps were a different matter entirely. The first, Dachau, opened in 1933. Initially, the KZs were political prisons (not unlike Gitmo) and were designed on the US model created by Marin VanBuren in Tennessee and Alabama in 1838 (he called them Emigration Depots – the term Concentration Camp was coined by the British for the internment centers established in South Africa during the Boer Wars of 1898-1900). Initially, camp populations were comprised primarily of Communists and Social Democrats. Many of the Jews interned early were interned because they were Social Democrats and Communists, not simply because they were Jews. Criminals, political dissidents, the physically and mentally handicapped, homosexuals, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Catholic (and some Protestant) clergy and similar ’social misfits and parasites’ were also interned. Soviet POWs were sent to the camps, both KZ and Death. Of the 10 million Red Army troops listed as killed in action, it is estimated that as many as 3 million died in the Camps.

After Operation Barbarossa was launched, the KZs were used to house the ’sub-human vermin’ of the occupied territories in the East, particularly the Roma, Sinti, Servs, Slavs and ethnic Poles. When the Red Army determined the outcome of the war at Stalingrad in December 1942, it was necessary for the National Socialists to resort to slave labor and camp populations swelled. It is seldom mentioned by German Jews and German Jewish organizations were not at all opposed to the policies directed against the Jews of the East in the early years of the NSDAP regime. Of course, the National Socialists took Martin Luther at his word. Luther wrote, in “On the Jews and Their Lies”, of the Jews, that “base, whoring people”, those “poisonous envenomed worms”, that “we are at fault in not slaying them.” The SS kept the faith.

In all, it is estimated that as many as 6 million people were murdered in the Death Camps. About 2.5 million of them were Jews. It is estimated that between 12 and 18 million died in the Concentration Camps. About 3.5 million of them were Jews. Of the Jews sent to either type camp, a significant number would have been sent for other reasons, even had they not been Jewish. Deaths in the KZs were not the result of organized mass murder. They resulted from starvation, disease, overwork, malnutrition, murder (by inmates, inmate Kapos and guards alike) suicide and disciplinary and punitive executions. On occasion, when death rates really soared Himmler and Hitler both ordered that conditions be improved. After all, the slaves were needed. It was okay to work them to death, but the goal was to get as much work as possible before they died.

Had the Red Army not repelled Barbarossa and won the war, another 30 million ethnic Poles and 30 million Slavs and 25 to 50 million Russians had been targeted for extinction. Hitler hated and feared the Communists far more than he did the Jews, and he spared no effort in rounding them up and sending them to the camps. The Serbs, Sinti and Roma were all but eradicated by the “social cleansing” and “racial purification” programs and pogroms.

If have no idea to what picture you refer. In the Death Camps, not all prisoners were killed on arrival. Some were spared to work the camps and others were used for other purposes. At the Auschwitz complex, some were sent to Auschwitz I and Auschwitz III, Concentration Camps not murder factories. In the KZ Camps, only those who were obviously unfit for work died, but they were usually forwarded to a death camp before they were murdered. The rest were worked until they died, served out their sentences and were rehabilitated and released (not a common occurrence but it did happen) or until they were liberated. If the child is dressed and bears a tattoo, you probably saw a video about a Concentration Camp. You can tell from the badge the child wears the reason for which he was interned and his nationality. If the badge was a triangle, the child was not Jewish. If a six pointed star, the child was Jewish. The color and other markings identify the “crime”, nationality and other information. Innumerable inmates at the Death Camps were never tattooed – there was no need as they were ordered to undress and herded into the showers on arrival. If the video is of the liberation of a Camp (which is likely), obviously it is a Concentration Camp and not an Extermination Camp. All of the Extermination Camps were closed by Himmler’s orders long before any camps were liberated.

Will this tattoo suit my body shape (pics)?

Im 23, female and don’t know whether to get this tattoo or not on my lower back as I don’t know if it will suit me. Im only 5ft and have really pale skin so don’t know if it will look over the top. Ive included a pic of myself and the tatoo.

You included a page full of tattoo designs…why go with a design created for anyone? That’s like getting your tattoo at Wal-Mart. You could walk around town and possibly see someone else with the same thing.

If you’re going to get one, design it yourself. If you don’t draw well have someone help you (or your tattoo artist) but the concept should be yours and have meaning for you…you don’t want to see anyone else with your tattoo. They should be meaningful and special (and original).

Remember, you’ll have it the rest of your life (unless you go through the painful and expensive removal process). Have something you’ll still be proud of when you’re a li’l ol’ granny ?
